- Directed Corporate Technology Services Technical Architecture
Group, responsible for enterprise technology vision, application
& technical architecture, project oversight, and governance.
Managed technical and application architecture processes,
standards, and project building permits. Evaluated vendor
products and recommended technologies for implementation.
- Architectural oversight responsibility for enterprise projects
within a 90 million annual development budget utilizing 400-
600 ITS resources. Projects included multi-site, multi-
language, multi-platform, N-tier, Internet, Intranet, Extranet,
Mainframe, Client-Server, Net-Centric, internally constructed
and externally utilized products. Projects included E-Commerce,
B2B, B2C, CRM and ASP based initiatives.
- Primary architect for multi-million dollar insurance
administration re engineering project, which took legacy VSAM
COTS product and re-platform application to n-tier, client
server, web enabled environment utilizing an oracle database
backbone. Enterprise application road map included
convergence of several insurance administrative systems into
this one platform.
- Initiated Application Architecture redesign to include SOA
Integration including centralized LDAP security, Data
Warehouse, Content Management, and other shared services.
Realigned IT organization to support new application
development methodology utilizing the Rational Unified
Process (RUP) and supporting IBM tool suite.
- Established enterprise architectural standards including
component based SOA technical framework used to build and
support integrated net-centric State Agency applications.
Assessed, recommended and acquired key technologies for
Application Life Cycle Management, Integration, Reporting, and
- Consulted project management, technical and application
teams to identify, evaluate, and recommend the specific
technology architectures necessary to support both functional
and non-functional requirements for a project.
